In a major revelation, the Indian government announced that its Air Force successfully jammed China-made air defense systems deployed by Pakistan during the precision strikes of Operation Sindoor. The mission, launched in retaliation for the terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pahalgam that killed 26 civilians, was executed in just 23 minutes, showcasing India’s growing defense superiority in the region.
The official statement from New Delhi highlighted that the Indian Air Force (IAF) employed advanced indigenous technology, including loitering munitions and long-range drones, to carry out pinpoint strikes on Pakistani airbases Noor Khan and Rahimyar Khan. The operation reportedly inflicted heavy damage on enemy radar and missile systems while ensuring no loss of Indian assets.
“India’s indigenous surveillance, planning, and delivery systems ensured all strikes were executed flawlessly without risking Indian personnel or equipment,” the statement read. “By bypassing and jamming Pakistan’s Chinese-supplied air defense networks, the IAF showcased a clear technological edge.”
China-Made Defenses Jammed, Pakistani Assets Neutralized
India further revealed that Pakistani attempts to defend against the strikes using Chinese-made PL-15 missiles and Turkish-supplied UAVs were thwarted. Indian air defense systems, including the domestically developed Akash missiles, effectively intercepted and destroyed incoming threats such as long-range rockets, kamikaze drones, and quadcopters. Wreckage of these projectiles has been forensically recovered and presented as evidence of hostile foreign-supplied technologies neutralized by Indian forces.
The statement emphasized that despite Pakistan’s access to advanced foreign military equipment, India’s 100 percent domestically developed systems, including the Pechora, OSA-AK, and LLAD guns, performed exceptionally during the operation.
ISRO’s Strategic Support Role
India’s space agency ISRO also played a vital role in the mission’s success. According to ISRO Chairman V Narayanan, at least 10 satellites were dedicated to providing strategic support during Operation Sindoor, offering real-time intelligence and surveillance that enabled precise targeting and rapid execution.
India Stresses Mission’s Precision and Restraint
The government underscored that all strikes were conducted without crossing the Line of Control or international border, reinforcing India’s position that the operation was a measured, calibrated response to terrorism emanating from Pakistan.
“Operation Sindoor is not just a display of tactical brilliance; it validates India’s defense indigenization policies,” the statement concluded. “From electronic warfare to counter-drone systems and layered air defense, India has proven its place as a technologically advanced military power of the 21st century.”
